On the steps I've taken to make life at past age 40 more meaningful, purposeful. Occasional rants & raves, too. And I've since, then, discovered by being with many teams that I'm taking lead primarily to accomplish goals I've selfishly set for myself and which I constantly & creatively peddle to my teammates LOL

Real Lighted Candles on a Christmas Tree!
It's been my second time experiencing joining the traditional lighting of real candles on a Christmas Tree. Last year, my phone camera didn't really catch the glitter and magic brought about by seeing such a delightful experience. Somewhere in an old house in the West Village, visitors, hosts, plus people like myself, gathered at around 5pm today to light real candles on the Christmas tree. A lot of thoughts run into my mind; I was elated and felt privileged to have seen this tradition again. There was the inherent fear of indirectly participating in having the house burn down in case a candle accidentally burns out of hand, but we're grateful nothing untoward happened just like in the previous years. It only happens once a year, such that only during an occasion like this when real candles are lighted to brighten up one of Christmastime's enduring symbols: the Christmas Tree! With Handel's "Messiah" playing on the background, we meditated on the sight. We remember our loved ones, including those who are not with us that moment. We remember Christ, being born over 2000 years ago. We celebrate being merry and happy together primarily for everyone & not only for ourselves; we've been blessed another year has passed, and has now grown better prepared to welcome the coming of the new year!
