Yes, "Help Them, Teach Them, but Don’t Live Through Them"

This article made me smile. I can only remember the anxious remarks being made by my friends who have children, and who can't seem to give up the idea that their children are "real persons" themselves. It's as if they don't show confidence that they've taken so much pains and sacrifices for their children to become the "best that they can be." I can only understand, and not say a thing, because I'm not a

parent myself - I don't even relish the idea, not because I'm not being responsible. I've my own share of responsibilities, and I deal with them accordingly. Most parents I know seem to project their dreams on their children, which is useless, to say the least. These children have their own minds, hearts, and dreams - no matter how imperfect or unclear they are right now. Parents can only just work on becoming positive role model themselves - rather than badgering their children all the time with their projections. Well, so much talk here about something which I can't ever have nor dream.
